Thank you for the update! Glad to see there will be strong opposition to ACA22
On the ballot in California this November is ACA22. It's meant to strengthen the Prop13 law that prohibits new taxes.
While it's tempting to eliminate new taxes, prices continually rise. In the end, it's going to decimate government services including schools, police and first responders.

It could also just be risk aversion; the original version was seen as that toxic. And maybe most importantly, voters will still have to pass ACA22. I don't see any of the groups who backed this compromise supporting it.
