My favorite Scrooge. Black and white, cheesy special effects. Fake British accents (mid Atlantic accents). Christmas is officially underway. #achristmascarol

A first night
A silent night
A night of tears & triumph
the fizzing blood
the exhausted energy
that brings a smile of relief
it's done
it's one
it's more & more
it's set yet changing
to learn
about yourself
under all those eyes
forging chains in life
shapes of memories

Tha' stumbling steps,
no more
With girded loins tha clogs hit tha' floor
A hidden smile now beaming
From stalls to ceiling
Words once whispered
now thundered
Movement no longer stilted
To float the stage
Talent out of its cage
Of misremembered lines
Now bold
Stories told
The audience?
In your hand!

We put the first half of our show together yesterday.
It’s amazing what you can achieve in just a couple of weeks.
Onwards! 🎩🎄

If you find yourself in West Yorkshire, any Yorkshire really, this winter, do try to see this starring @reecedinsdale.bsky.social . It's really fabulous.

A Christmas Carol brought home to Leeds
Charles Dickens’ much-loved tale of the perils of greed, the power of community spirit and of ultimate redemption is a seasonal feast

2nd time. Front row. Absolutely amazing again. Shed a tear again at the end. Please pass on my “bravo” to all the cast. It was exceptional Reece. Terrific from start to finish. All of you looked to be having so much fun & it definitely showed in the performance. Well be back what ever you’re in next

Lucky enough to see this yesterday – a spellbinding show! New to the area and we’ve decided to get a playhouse membership off the back of this show so hope to be there a lot next year.
Thank you to you and the whole cast and crew for getting our Christmas off to the best start! 👏👏👏

I’m such a fortunate man.
Straight from 70 physically exhausting, but hugely rewarding, performances as Ebeneezer Scrooge in #AChristmasCarol @LeedsPlayhouse, I’m now knee-deep directing eps of Emmerdale.
A different discipline… but just as rewarding.
Grateful for every day.🙌
