since i shared my clothes that i made, have some of my super old cosplays too :O this Lux won a riot games competition back in 2017! they paid for flights and accoms to go represent them at PAX Australia!! forever fond and proud of that! ;-;

You're legally entitled to reasonable accoms. It's a slow process. Use it to everyone's advantage.

Being a disabled student who has been medically abandoned has been awful at my college. The undergrad accommodation I got (and appreciated) -- didn't apply to graduate school AND basically the accommodations I asked for I was told to "discuss with professor" which shut me out of accoms completely.

I DONT CARE if *some* students have managed to get accommodations by allegedly "gaming the system" or "doctor shopping"
I DON'T CARE.
Because my experience tells me how hard it is to be disabled in higher ed, as both a disabled student, and disabled faculty member now.

How about we worry less, as a society, about whether individuals might be cheating to get a disability accommodation or some help buying food, and more about whether extremely wealthy people and corporations are paying their fair share of taxes?

This is a lawyer and law prof putting forward this wildly incoherent argument. Where in the ADA does it give you sex based rights to washrooms without trans folks.

i've been kinda reticent on this latest round of "FaKeRs!1!!11 seeking college accommodations" bc it gets us nowhere. that said, every time it comes up, i remember how disability services at my undergrad asked me repeatedly if i was 'sure this [college] was the place for me' when i sought accoms.
