Like they did it once for the big cloud of Appetite and UYI songs, and then Axl seemed kind of spent by himself and barely squeezed Chinese Democracy out but whoops now the reunited band are slowly cherrypicking whatever's decent out of the archive rather than trying to write anything new
I love when bands do the thing where they have this huge creative explosion and write like a hundred songs and slowly pick sets of ten for each new album as they go

I was a massive VH fan when I was younger but I could not hang with most of the lyrics after a point. I also think most fans were sleeping on ADKoT, and the music on III was some of their most challenging but were let down by Cherone's turgid melodies.
