I don't think I go, "this has a map, I'll read this." It certainly helps, I love a good map to help visualize. Also, random thing I learned recently cause I'm finally getting around to reading ADOFN: I can't properly zoom on my Kindle, so I can't see map details and info as much as I would like to 😔

The Roots of Chaos series (high fantasy standalones set in the same world) is daunting for many, but I loved taking my time with it along with the queernorm world. I think I like ADOFN better Priory, but it's a close call so I featured both here.

Priory will always have a special place in my heart! It was the book that got me back into reading and brought me to booktok but I do like the characters slightly more in ADOFN

It is treasured by me..my old battered copy. It got me through horrible times. I have my lovely hardback edition no one is allowed to touch on my shelf, a signed edition of hardback ADOFN (which I am finally halfway through) and a regular copy. What is your tattoo of??

theres smth to be said abt books that insert bisexuality as a one liner never to be mentioned again bc its a cishet romance and they only use it for marketing, but potot and adofn are great books w great lgbt characters w on-page romance and shouldnt be lumped in those
