Something slightly different this #SonicSunday with Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie (No. Not that one! 😅).

This has at times been known as the Sonic Anime, as well as Sonic OVA.

It's an interesting tale, with quirky style...

...but is it the best animated Sonic?

Does Anyone know if there are any listing for Slayers ADV Films collection online that are still available? I saw one on eBay but it’s gone unfortunately

An Understanding of Why "Evangelion" Is So Heavily Despised

Though I enjoy "Evangelion," I think I get why many people don't.

🌐 Bytes of an Internet Past ⌛

Tick-tock, tick-tock, round goes the clock in the opposite direction, capping off the ADV nostalgia for today with a visit to the ADVFilms website in 1997.

Due to the speed of internet connections then, it's text-heavy with little room for graphical fanciness.

The main webpage fo AD Vision, aka ADV. "Welcome to the World Wide Web home of A.D.V Films. It's still so early that they're calling it the World Wide Web.

Lots of text hyperlink options separated by horizontal lines and only three graphic elements - one of which is a link to the EFF's anti-censorship campaign.

Another menu with links to various stuff like galleries and ADV news, plus download links to *MP2* files - no midi here! And they still work, I was able to download them.

Anime Conventions in 1997 - Anime Weekend Atlanta and Anime Fest. Small images of Gunsmith Cats artork and The Elven Bride can be seen

The ADV Films tapes for the Ruin Explorers OVA.

The quippy, cheesy little tag lines and references are amusing.

Quick little fantasy adventure usually pretty cute or amusing as I recall. Been awhile since I watched, might have to do that sometime.

Front covers for ADV Films Dub of Ruin Explorers and Ruin Explorers 2 featuring the main heroines the blonde haired, golden furred magic casting cat girl Fam and her partner in adventure Ihrie the purple haired human (usually) warrior. Joined on the second cover by the red haired human hero prince Lyle. On both covers the main villain the bearded Rogurdorull.

The back covers of the ADV Films Dub of Ruin Explorers and Ruin Explorers 2.

Quippy line from the top of the back cover of Ruin Explorers: Heroines for Hire: CHEAP!

Quippy line from the top of the back cover of Ruin Explorers 2: A secret, a curse and something much worse!

I am... confused... Why they changed Sailor Moon's brooch for the back of this VHS cover. It doesn't look like the entire image is redrawn, but maybe they did redraw the screencaps on the back? I will never understand ADVFilms sometimes...
