Sydney Swans star Isaac Heeney has deleted his Instagram account amid a sexual assault investigation linked to an August 17 incident at the Pullman hotel. The 30-year-old vice-captain, who previously had over 115,000 followers, appears to have either temporarily deactivated or permanently removed his account, with attempts to access it resulting in error messages. The incident involves Heeney and four teammates who were banned from the 2026 AFL season and the Brownlow Medal ceremony for breaching club standards. Three women have made sexual assault allegations against the group, which are under police investigation, though no charges have been laid. Heeney’s fiancée’s account remains active, but he is no longer tagged in posts. The scandal has led to businesses and brands distancing themselves from Heeney, including the removal of his children’s book series and collectible bobbleheads from retail. The article emphasizes the ongoing legal and reputational fallout for the AFL star.
