This third option is "agrowth", which means ignoring GDP and its growth. This is not “ideo-logical” but logical: since GDP is not a good proxy of welfare we better ignore it. This automatically implies indifference/disinterest in GDP growth. Results in being anti-growthmania instead of anti-growth.

But agrowth is not about limiting growth, just ignoring it. Regarding policies that improve wellbeing & result in GDP growth - an agrowth position won't stand in the way. Note also that your figure doesn't capture key aspects like intra-country inequality or climate change harming future wellbeing.

Please read my papers first. Your point is not wrong but misses the essence of my proposal. It is that we still face strong resistance again urgently needed env/climate/social policies - an agrowth mindset could weaken such resistance.
