OG prometía un flujo de proyectos estable tras la compra de Aheartfulofgames. Tras dos años, publicamos un proyecto cumpliendo plazos y presupuesto, que resultó comercialmente rentable. Tras un cambio en la directiva, su gestión parecía ir en contra de nuestro estudio.

OG alega causas productivas para el ERE de Aheartfulofgames. Su decisión es unilateral y no nos ofrece otras alternativas. Ante tal vulneración de nuestros derechos, la plantilla está organizada con CSVI y dispuesta a luchar contra esta situación de represión e injusticia.

TMNT Mutants Unleashed is a continuation of the 2023 great movie. The characters are nailed great and have more depth than I expected. The story and dialogue are terrific (some cheesy moments, some Easter eggs, and some fantastic moments that gave me a chuckle). Great art, cutscenes, and music!

Les compañeres de Secret 6 Madrid luchamos por nuestros derechos laborales después de que Testronic, dueños de nuestro estudio, decidiera cerrar la filial Madrileña alegando pérdidas económicas irreversibles. Sospechamos que no hay una causa sólida para el ERE y que la intención original era vaciar la sede de Madrid para mantener solo la filial de Manila, dónde prima la explotación laboral. Creemos estar siendo víctimas de un boicot por su parte. Aumentaron las cuotas de servicio para obtener más beneficios, causando pérdidas de clientes para el estudio, y no captaron nuevos clientes. A pesar de todo, Secret 6 se mantuvo solvente y productiva. Testronic está matando a Secret 6 y les trabajadores respondemos con una huelga para poder conseguir unas mejores condiciones en la negociación del ERE! El equipo de Aheartfulofgames ha recibido este mes la noticia de que Outright Games —nuestra empresa matriz desde 2022— ha iniciado un ERE que supone el cierre completo del estudio y la pérdida de todos nuestros puestos de trabajo. A pesar de los buenos resultados y del compromiso demostrado durante años, OG ha optado por prescindir de nosotras alegando causas productivas. Desde la sección sindical y la asamblea de trabajadoras denunciamos la falta de transparencia en todo el proceso, y estamos valorando acciones sindicales y legales para impugnar esta decisión, mientras seguimos inmersos en la negociación del ERE. Seguimos luchando no solo por nuestro futuro, sino también por unas condiciones laborales dignas en una industria que no puede seguir ignorando a quienes la hacen posible. Nuestro estudio, anteriormente de King, pasó bajo el paraguas de Blizzard en Julio de 2024. Dada la incertidumbre y preocupación por el cambio de manos, la falta de organización entre las trabajadoras y siguiendo la estela de nuestras compas de King y otras empresas del sector, formalizamos nuestra sección sindical en Noviembre de 2024. En enero de este año se anunció públicamente a la plantilla, aumentando así la sección y empezando a hacer trabajo sindical. Sin conflictos activos, nuestros esfuerzos se centran en reforzar la sección, trabajar en la cultura sindical y en los temas principales que preocupan a la plantilla, como el retorno a la oficina forzado. Además, mantenemos comunicación con otras secciones del grupo en Estados Unidos. El 2 de julio King inició su segundo ERE solo 8 meses después del primero, que se ejecutó en octubre de 2024. Esta vez propone despedir a 75 personas, más del 12% de su plantilla de Barcelona. La empresa alega unas causas que desde la sección sindical consideramos que no son suficientes y faltan a la verdad. El anuncio se produce solo dos días después de que venciera la extensión del anterior acuerdo del ERE, que obligaba a la empresa a mantener las compensaciones por despido acordadas con los representantes de los trabajadores en octubre de 2024. Estos hechos denotan una mala fe por parte de la empresa que no podemos obviar. Poco después de que se anunciaran los despidos a la plantilla, Phil Spencer, líder de la división Xbox Gaming, anunció en un comunicado interno que éstos llegan en una época en la cual Xbox tiene “más jugadores, títulos y horas jugadas que nunca”, y que sus “plataformas, hardware y hoja de ruta son más fuertes que nunca”. Frente a los abusos de la empresa les compañeres de King hicimos un acto de protesta delante de las oficinas de Barcelona para apoyar a les trabajadores ¡que se encuentran en este proceso injusto!

Hello, everyone I'm Enrique ("elideb"), writing on behalf of the original aheartfulofgames team: Juan, Thomas and myself; plus Julen, Sendoa and Xabi, the artists who helped us turn Heart&Slash from a funny prototype with some funky models and ideas into the desolate yet beautiful world it became. And from Daniel (SFX), Michael (catchy soundtrack!), Pablo (2D images) and Mirella (more SFX). First of all we want to say thank you, thank you, thank you. To VVValera for organizing this. To those who shared their love in this beautiful letter, and those who wanted but couldn't. To everyone in this server. And to every player who carries with them the memories of Dr. Sympathic, the assistant, Heart Corp., the Robocalypse, and the love between two goofy robots trying to find a place in a world unwilling to let them do so freely. Everytime we get a fan letter, you bring a smile to our faces. Even tears, more than once. But this one is truly special. 10 years ago we released Heart&Slash without being sure of how far it would go. The reception to our Kickstarter was very good, but getting to the finish line was hard. And even then, the actual finish line took a little more to reach, as we fixed bugs, some poor design choices and unrealized potential. Our game was well received, compared to our modest expectations, and we even got a few very nice reviews. But nothing had prepared us for you, Heart&Slash fans. In the following months we started seeing and receiving fan art and heart warming messages which made every hour spent programming, setting up, drawing, modelling and stressing out well worth it. We did not expect that, and we absolutely did not expect Heart's adventures would still be downloaded, played, and loved 10 years later. Each and every one of you is the best reason there is to keep making and releasing games. So, once again, thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.
