European artificial intelligence leaders meet at the UPC in Barcelona to promote the use of this technology in the EU
This meeting marks the starting point of the AI4EU project, which receives €20 million euros in funding from the European Commission and has 79 partners from 21 countries, among them 60 leading research centres. The objective is to provide users with artificial intelligence resources that favour scientific research and technological innovation. The AI4EU Ethics Observatory will also be created to guarantee a human-centred AI.

Els líders europeus en Intel·ligència Artificial es reuneixen a la UPC per impulsar l’ús d’aquesta tecnologia a la UE
Els dies 9, 10 i 11 de gener, 79 entitats de la Unió Europea, entre elles 60 centres de recerca punters, s'han reunit a l’Auditori de l’edifici Vèrtex de la UPC per donar el tret de sortida al projecte europeu AI4EU (sigles que responen a l’expressió anglesa de 'Intel·ligència Artificial per a la Unió Europea'). En el projecte, finançat amb 20 milions d’euros per la Comissió Europea, hi participen 79 socis de 21 països, incloent 60 centres de recerca punters, entre els quals hi ha el BSC-CNS i la UPC, que han organitzat la trobada.
