Chennai, May 25 (SocialNews.XYZ) In a fresh political development that could reshape Tamil Nadu’s post-election landscape, three AIADMK MLAs — Madurantakam MLA Maragatham Kumaravel, Dharapuram MLA Sathyabama, and Perundurai MLA Jayakumar — resigned from the Assembly on Monday and later joined the ruling TVK. The resignations have intensified speculation about further defections and the possibility of multiple Assembly by-elections in the state. The three legislators, considered close to the AIADMK faction led by former ministers C.V. Shanmugam and S.P. Velumani, submitted their resignation letters to Assembly Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar. Soon after handing over their resignation letters, the MLAs reportedly met Minister Aadhav Arjuna and formally joined the TVK.

Chennai, May 6 (SocialNews.XYZ) Political activity intensified in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday as a section of newly elected AIADMK legislators reportedly mounted pressure on party General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) to reconsider the party’s alliance strategy and explore the possibility of supporting the Vijay-led Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), which has emerged as the single largest party in the Assembly elections. The developments came amid growing uncertainty over government formation in the State after the recently concluded Assembly polls delivered a fractured mandate. TVK secured 108 seats in the 234-member Assembly, making it the single largest party, but it remains short of the 118 seats required for a simple majority.

Chennai, May 6 (SocialNews.XYZ) The newly elected MLAs of the AIADMK are set to meet in Chennai on Wednesday amid growing indications that sections within the party favour extending outside support to actor-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government for at least a year. The development assumes significance as TVK, which emerged as the single largest party in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, remains short of the majority mark required to form a stable government. Tamil Nadu has 234 Assembly constituencies, and a party requires 118 seats to secure a majority.
