ReviewerOne can flag references over 10 years old so you can quickly see where older literature is concentrated. Some may be foundational, but the pattern can help you check whether newer research is also represented.

AI can process manuscripts fast, which is useful, but not enough.

Peer review depends on judgment: what holds up, what doesn’t, what’s missing. AI can support this, but cannot replace it.
