España ya dispone de concizumab, un nuevo medicamento de Novo Nordisk destinado a la profilaxis -la prevención rutinaria de sangrados- en pacientes a partir de 12 años con hemofilia A y B, independientemente de la presencia de inhibidores, una complicación relevante en el tratamiento de la enfermedad . Administrado mediante inyección subcutánea, este nuevo fármaco, de nombre comercial 'Alhemo', "supone una innovación relevante" al ser el primer anticuerpo monoclonal dirigido contra el inhibidor de la vía del factor tisular (el anticoagulante natural TFPI) indicado para hemofilia A y B, con y sin inhibidor.
