#ALP=LNP
Before the ALP and LNP gutted the @news.abc.net.au, they had local teams doing on-the-ground reporting. Now even the ABC has been undermined by appointing too many ex-Murdoch staffers.

Good question.

I live in Melbourne and like you are trying to work out how to vote, and work out how preferences will fall.

Trying to move away from ALP and LNP duopoly, and definitely not ON.

Greens, Independents and others like Vic socialists need examining closely. #auspol

Going to start referring to the ALP, LNP and One Nation as the Triparty
*lock up refugees and immigrants
*support new coal/gas projects
*tax cuts for the rich
*starve the poor
*cut regulations that protect us
*rorts for property investors
*$400bn AUKUS & US bases
*imprison primary school kids...
October 5, 2026 at 7:00 PM
And the ALP, LNP and One Nation want to send $400bn to these lunatics and let them have more military bases here.

WTF is the sensible centre?

ALP & LNP are Neolibs (governing for the wealthy)!

For any party to get to the centre they'd have to go HARD LEFT (socialism) to actually benefit even the average working person, pensioners, NDIS, homeless, low-wage earners & make Aust an equitable nation again.
October 5, 2026 at 1:50 PM
Looks like in Victoria you’re not going to get any support from ON/LNP ( one & the same ) or ALP
Nervously hoping you win a lot of seats 🙏🏻
October 5, 2026 at 6:35 AM
The Greens always seem to be held to a standard that applies to no other party.

Even though a voter might agree with 98% of their platform, all it takes is one single policy for people to turn against them.

I wish I could understand why?

Particularly when ALP/LNP/ON are shit most of the time!

I see a lot of Labor voters that feel utterly betrayed by Labor, particularly those at the bottom of the economic pile."Did we have a change of gov't in 2022" is something I hear a lot. People don't want violence, they want change, but it seems it will take some destruction to get rid of ALP/LNP ticks

Victims lost lives & now family trauma is exacerbated by such as this. The bastard public servants kept their PSMs & $1M salaries & even promoted. The pollies had no consequences either. Morriscum & LNP are yet to apologise. ALP now persuing more debts. Fvcked!

LNP profess to be complete bastards. ALP hide that as you say. Albanese is like the Caesars of old. Killed off all opposition in the party room and untouchable.

OK time for a new exciting thread - hunting for any coverage of the Greens in the Victorian state election that discusses them in any way positively let alone discusses their actual policies (and opposition to ALP/LNP/ON promises of locking up kids, tax cuts for property investors & data centres).

Was trying to see what PKs point was. I'm assuming her masters have decided painting both Greens and LNP into the same shouty corner serves their ALP v ON "main event" strategy.

#ALP is not the same as the #LNP COALition. It's worse. The promise was of a progressive, just transition. What we have instead is 2 countries colluding to increase the use of fossil fuels. Aus sells it Turkey buys it and burns it.

Actually, ABC, I'd say there's one opposition now - the Greens. The rest (ALP, LNP, ON) are all varying degrees of the right - lock up kids, property investor tax cuts, data centres, cuts to public services and infrastructure.

Weird you forgot to mention them?

The ABC on the Victorian election: "There are 3 opposition parties. LNP, ON, and... The ALP premier campaigning to join them on the right!"

According to the ABC, left voters and parties (eg the Greens) simply don't exist and won't be covered. Utterly captured.

If they can fund these morons, they obviously don’t need public funding.

Shoebridge has been told that taking the fight up to the government on taxing corporate wealth is, 'radical'.

I think, 'dim-witted' would be a better term. Winning votes from the ALP would just increase the likelihood of an LNP government.

I’m a Greens and Independent voter these days.

The Trump/Israel ALP/LNP/ON Atlas network of networks fascist political Project 2025 agenda is not something I can be complicit in.

No and nor were they made into the huge "cost of living crisis" the media in Australia and those opposition members in Parliament make out. Somehow we have this the whole time an ALP government is in power but not a word of it when the LNP are there?? I guess like Faust the media sold their souls.
October 4, 2026 at 1:17 AM
imo @thejuicemedia.com 100% sold me on permanent minority governments in that “ad” they put up an election or two ago. Mind you, the ALP and LNP scaremongering on minority govt was a really big fking clue that minority govts are the best for Australia. #auspol.

The LNP debt that they hid, including fuel/gas prices, is how we currently have a large debt carryover.Dutton and all lied before the election they lost and here we are with the ALP trying to meet commitments, improve things overall and reduce debt. The media lied and still lies at all levels too.
October 3, 2026 at 11:57 PM
that forward budget had Australia at 1.1 trillion in the hole by Dec 2023 is how much they cared. Spend spend spend, let the ALP fix up the debt.

LNP Wiped out needs now to be ALP, LNP, One Nastie wipeout, the 4 political parties captured by corporate payrolls.

I’m in. There is nowhere else to go but Greens and Independents.

I’m out. Decades of Christofascist LNP. Worst, the deep ALP betrayal 7 yrs Albanese Labor Party leadership, pretending Labor values of working people whilst in bed with the most radical despots of our time. No more. #auspol

Note to the Greens, you either genuinely care about people or you do not. When you pick and choose your causes those of who genuinely care are revolted. Same reason I put ALP as far down my vote card as I can, right next to ON and LNP.
