don't buy AMVR lenses btw

my right eye prescription was too strong for their 3d printed frame that it came out instantly with 0 effort and won't fit back in

28 days ago I published this video.
Today I FINALLY got a notification that the promised replacement lenses, with "fixed" design, and proper manufacturing processes, from #AMVR are about to ship.

Better be worth the wait... coz I'm not overflowing with grace for halfassed fuckups lately... or ever.

I tested AMVR's NL2 lens inserts on the Steam Frame (plano version). Full review + the HS2 strap:

I like mine so far, but I've never had face/eye tracking to compare. I got the consumer store installed following some guides. Using PicoFacialBridge and UnifiedPicoModule with Virtual Desktop. Intermediary proxy to turn down eye tracking gain. AMVR face cover was a night and day difference as well

AMVR ships from china.

But they are low quality, but they were good enough for me.

AMVR can do +3 to -10 for the frame. The Bigscreen is a direct upgrade from a Index but unless Bigscreen can pick up the license from Valve you'll need to get basestation replacements from HTC at about double Valve's price and controllers are harder to get now.

I got my AMVR lenses in the mail! I think I like them a bit better than the WidmoVR lenses despite them being like half the price ^^,

AMVR is the cheapo option, and I'll probably swap them out when I get my VROptician lenses, but at least I'll be able to use my Frame

Bruh my Flibbin glasses are too big to fit in the frame, it kinda works but it’s mad uncomfortable. Guess I gotta wait a few weeks for my AMVR lenses to come in. Woulda gotten zenni but they said my prescription is too extreme 😭
