I am a GISP, belong to BayGEO and NACIS, and my position is represented by a union of county employees. I support staff (DPW) that are APWA and other public works level professional organizations (e.g. water, transportation) but do not belong to APWA myself.

In July 2026, the American Prison Writing Archive (APWA) reached quite the milestone – our intake team processed the 10,000th piece of literary art sent by an incarcerated or formerly incarcerated writer to the APWA since our start!
