#MetastaticBreastCancer changes with exposure to treatment. Luminal A (ER+, HER2-, ki67 low, PR high) can become more aggressive Luminal B (ER+, HER2- with ki67 high OR PR low OR ER+, HER2+). Should we all have a tissue biopsy at progression to determine this? #ASCO21 #bcsm

Can we stay #NotDeadYet for a meaningful amount of time on alpelisib? Abstract 1054 looks at data from SOLAR1 and X2101 trials and concludes yes - about 30% of people in SOLAR1 and 13% in X2101 had a PFS > 18 months. All had endocrine resistant disease. #ASCO21 #bcsm

In the phase 1 over half the #clinicaltrial heros had had 3+ prior LOT. The most unusual AE was a low heart rate; the others were our old "friends" nausea, diarrhea, fatigue, hot flashes. (where's the drug where the AE are glowing skin and increased energy?) #ASCO21 #bcsm

Do you know what I hate the most about IRL meetings? The door drops of brochures I throw right in the 🗑. Do you know what’s even worse? Having the same 💩 mailed for a virtual meeting. How about banning this in the future @ASCO? #ASCO21

Biomarkers to predict whether our treatments are going to work or not is something people with #metastaticbreastcancer are dying for (literally). Will checking for CCNE1 expression be something that's done in the future, before prescribing Palbociclib? #ASCO21 #bcsm

Had to take a quick break from #ASCO21 to water our dying lawn - our HOA banned irrigation as 2/3 of our wells are contaminated with uranium. We own another property on its own well and my husband trucks in 2 575 gal tanks every day. PITA but at least we get rainbows!
