L2LP & ASDAN students went to glow golf at arena 5 Limerick as part of their modules "L2LP Living in a Community" and "ASDAN Out in the Community". After the glow golf the students went to Supermacs followed by a lovely walk at the pet farm. Many thanks to Tom at H & M travel too.

There are maths classes in schools across the country where a GCSE 1 grade is an achievement. A grade 2 would be phenomenal. Then we make them retake. Pointless. Allow them to do entry level maths and an ASDAN course. We don't necessarily need entirely new qualifications.

Yesterday, Ms. Pennant's ASDAN group went on a careers trip to Leyton Orient Trust. The students gained valuable insights into the skills and qualities required to work in this field, as well as an overview of the employment structure and various roles within the club.

I'm reminded of a conversation I had when I was teaching asdan years ago, collecting folders of evidence to show the progress of students meeting various challenges. Leadership insisted I grade the work on the school assessment system. "Why do we need to reduce it to a number?" I asked....

ASDAN CHINA allow anyone to sign up for Maclaurin/Hamilton/Cayley Olympiads irrespective of if they have done IMC or indeed any good at maths. I am really frustrated with this approach @UKMathsTrust any thoughts on this? @Ridermeister
