Atack stars as the raunchy Sarah Stratton in the award-winning Disney+ drama.

Emily Atack, best known for her role as Charlotte 'Big Jugs' Hinchcliffe in the E4 sitcom The Inbetweeners, has described her current role in the Disney+ series Rivals as a pivotal moment in her nearly two-decade acting career. The 36-year-old actress, who began her career at 16 in the ITV crime drama Blue Murder, has spoken about how playing Sarah Stratton in the award-winning drama has allowed her to return to her acting roots after years in reality television and comedy. Atack explained that while she had enjoyed various television opportunities, including hosting I'm A Celebrity... Extra Camp, her heart had always been in acting. She noted that transitioning back to acting after a period in reality TV was not always straightforward, but the reception to her role in Rivals has been overwhelmingly positive, making her feel 'embraced and welcomed back into acting'. The series, based on Jilly Cooper's novels, features a high-profile cast including David Tennant, Danny Dyer, Katherine Parkinson, and Aidan Turner. Rivals, which launched in 2024, will return for a second season with a three-episode premiere on Disney+ in the UK and internationally, and on Hulu in the US, starting November 11. Atack expressed that the role has been a 'dream' and reaffirmed her passion for acting, stating that this is 'where my heart is' and 'what I love'.
