Hey #AusCyclingTeam, do better, developing TT riders. There are not enough TTs on the calendar for example for Coupland to work on her pacing.
I swear the mixed team relay crew did their own TTT training camp.

Official #AusCyclingTeam for #Montreal2026.

A chooky women elite roster even after me seeing the WU23 hitter squad, I have not compared #AusCycling selection for the squad size, proximity to track worlds, why some are missing like Ruby Roseman-Gannon. #CouchPeloton

AusCyclingTeam news post annoucing the Montreal road world championship team on 13 September 2026. "Taylor acknowledged the absence of Brodie Chapman, who declined her selection for personal reasons. “I’ve spoken with Brodie and understand and fully support her reasons not to compete this year,” Taylor said. “She has been a strong and experienced performer for us at the World Championships, so her presence will be missed.”"

#Kigali2025 thoughts.

#AUScyclingTeam going by the book means it cannot deal with abnormal circumstances, ie world championships at altitude.

Too young to be a categorised national team athlete, self-funding doubts, late selection; AusCycling might have throw Appleton's U23 medal away.

Talia Appleton has been - very deservedly - selected for the World Championships, but AusCycling aren't funding her trip

She's fundraising to be able to go. Appleton was third at the Tour de l'Avenir last month

Talia Appleton selected for UCI Road World Championships, Neve Bradbury withdraws Sep 10, 2025 Talia Appleton competing for the ARA Australian Cycling Team at the Glasgow 2023 UCI Road World Championships AusCycling is pleased to announce that Talia Appleton has been added to the ARA Australian Cycling Team for the 2025 UCI Road World Championships. Appleton, from Mansfield Mt Buller Cycling Club in Victoria, will compete in the under-23 women's road race in Rwanda on 25 September. Her selection comes after her outstanding performance at the Tour de l’Avenir Femmes. Appleton’s podium results and demonstrated potential made a compelling case for the National Selection Panel to include the 19-year-old in the world championship race, which will be contested on highly challenging parcours with 2,400 metres of elevation over 119 kilometres.

Did #AusCyclingTeam not select Talia Appleton for the WU23 events because she is an amateur, not raced European races during the performance period, did Talia not opt-in for #Kigali2025, is AusCycling's W/kg benchmark horseshit, or is she aiming for gravel world championships? #TDAVFemmes2025

I'll get fucking pissed off at the UCI again first, before posting the #AusCyclingTeam juniors selected for #Kigali2025. UCI road wankers!

THE UNDER-23 WOMEN NEVER GOT THEIR OWN RACE, WHAT UCI, FUCK OFF UCI, YOU WANT U23s from 2003 to 2006 to just sit out world championships when THEY HAD NO RACE!
Women U23 selection policy in AusCycling documents. "3.7 U23 Women 3.7.1 Women Under 23 riders who have participated in the Women Elite individual road race at previous World Championships may not participate in the Women Under 23 individual road race [UCI article 92.015]."
