AW2 is incredible. Truly. And it incorporates Control's lore to great effect. I'm gonna play Control Resonant whenever the fuck I finish the Dragon's Dogma 2 DLC. lol

AW2 is fine for me, Silent Hill 2 is difficult but I can push through it... but I can't play Alien Isolation despite my love of Alien. Too scary.

Just bought Resonant. The graphics will break because of our poor PC but that shouldn't stop us from enjoying the story and gameplay likewise when we enjoyed playing AW2. We support Remedy, as always.

My recommendation is to go back & play the first Alan Wake if you haven't.
Its game play is definitely dated & the early chapters maybe have too much wandering alone in the woods, but its substantially less scary then its sequel, & might wet your appetite enough to cary you through AW2.

Opposite cases are cool too like Remedy games being set in their release date. It makes AW2 hit like a mf, specially if you played them near those dates.

Why is the German localisation of Remedy games so seriously and offensively bad, in a way that it actually sounds autotranslated. Not even talking about the actors, but actual wrong translations (and not even going into how absurd the AW2 dub was)

It's being remade in Remedy's modern 'Northlight' engine, the one they built for CONTROL, AW2, and CONTROL 2.
