#giuliafalcone #awhitershadeofpale #procolharum Hello everyone ❤️ I hope you enjoy my rendition of "A Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procil Harum, one of the most successful singles in history, with over 10 million copies sold worldwide. The song was written and composed by Keith Reid, Gary Brooker and Matthew Fisher, and published in 1967. A song with a cryptic but at the same time engaging lyrics that even today both critics and fans can't fully explain. "A Whiter Shade of Pale" represents one of the first examples of fusion between pop and classical music, a poignant melody loosely inspired by the Aria on the fourth string from Bach's Suite No. 3 in G major with more than 1,000 known covers recorded by other artists, including the one of the extraordinary Anny Lennox. Many versions have also been recorded in other languages as well as French (Le Jour du Dernier Jour), German (Tränen im Gesicht), Portuguese (Ao Meo Lado Outra Vez) and many others. The song is also featured on the soundtrack of many films and Tv series. I will never stop thanking you all for the precious support and love you give me every day and if you just came here by chance, l'Il be happy to count you among those who constantly follow my YouTube channel. But I wandered through my playing cards And would not let her be One of sixteen vestal virgins Who were leaving for the coast And although my eyes were open They might have just as well been closed And so it was that later As the miller told his tale That her face, at first just ghostly, Turned a whiter shade of pale For professional information, please write to: info@giuliafalcone.com You can also join me on all my social media: Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/Spotify-GiuliaFalcone06 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/giuliafalcone06 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/giuliafalcone_official/ Threads: https://www.threads.net/@giuliafalcone_official TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@giulia.falcone06 Website: https://giuliafalcone.com

By Dr Oliver Tearle (Loughborough University) Few songs of the 1960s, outside of The Beatles’ later output, has perhaps inspired more head-scratching than Procol Harum’s 1967 hit ‘A Whiter Shade of…
