Mas tive muita dificuldade pra configurar ela, e já estava desistindo quando finalmente entendi onde estava fazendo errado. Ela funcionou e agora, 4 meses tendo que usar a HGU da Vivo, finalmente voltei ao setup simples do roteador TP-Link Archer AX55 e a ONT VSOL V2801Q. Coisa linda! 😍

Thanks to an insane rule the FCC just rolled basically ALL consumer routers are banned from new sales o.0
My household is ahead of this insanity with 4 routers Asus (RT-AX55), and 2 repeaters. Now I had to speadrun getting the last 2 I needed because router prices have shot up already >.<

he says this gets good reviews, if it doesn't give you good enough coverage eero is the next step but that gets way more $. we use eeros in our house and they're great, but we have them bc of being a double WFH household.

Jag har två i mesh-formation, för att det är dålig mottagning annars, men den nyaste är en Asus RT-AX55. Som Alicas, den jobbar på och jag lyckades ställa in lite routing för barnens minecraftserver i den. Annars är den som är router är mest. Som ett kylskåp, jobbar på i det tysta.

Unless your ISP is giving you more than 1.5G speeds, I would go with the Wifi 6 (I have an AX55 and RE515X). It will be cheaper, still a noticeable upgrade over your 5, and isn't actively getting security patches that may stop due to the ban.

I had a run of very bad luck more than 5 years ago with their routers, but, I could imagine they've improved.
I've got a mesh network based on a TP-Link AX55 + a couple of RE315 range extenders to create a mesh, precisely for the same reason. Though, my house is a spring chicken at 102 years old.

psa: I don't run a dedicated router for wireless VR. I just use my network router (RT-AX55) and it's not in the room I use for VR. Not noticing bitrate compression artifacts with steam link, don't listen to the haters

Jako na TP-Linku nemusí být nastavení Guest či IoT sítě nikterak složité. Na mém AX55 (já vím, já vím, ale brzy jde z domu) to vypadá takhle (zaškrtnuto jen pro účely screenshotu, IoT síť tam nemám).
Jak to funguje v jejich mesh systému ti ale nepovím.
