I finished Absolution last night, the 4th book in Jeff Vandermeer's Southern Reach, erm, trilogy. I had to read plot summaries of the first 3 before going in and that still didn't help a great deal, but I very much enjoyed the first two thirds of the book and slightly less enjoyed the final third.
