Human Flow Abstracted as Geometric Notation
#AbstractGestural #GeometricNotation #ContemporaryAbstraction #AIArt
A stylized illustration depicting a massive crowd of people viewed from behind, moving forward through what appears to be a large covered terminal or transit hub, possibly an airport or ferry terminal. The artwork features a striking dark background with figures rendered in expressive white outlines, while select individuals are highlighted in vivid burnt orange and amber tones, creating a dynamic contrast against the predominantly black composition. The scene uses strong linear perspective, with blue structural columns and converging ceiling lines drawing the eye toward a distant horizon where city lights or terminal infrastructure are faintly visible. Overhead fluorescent lights hang from a geometric steel framework, reinforcing the industrial setting. The crowd is dense in the foreground and gradually recedes into the distance, conveying both scale and anonymity. The loose, gestural line work gives the piece an energetic, hand-drawn quality reminiscent of urban sketching or graphic novel illustration. The selective use of orange highlights on certain figures — some wearing hooded sweatshirts and carrying backpacks — suggests themes of movement, migration, or collective human experience. The overall mood is atmospheric, slightly somber, yet powerful in its portrayal of mass human movement.
