Doesn't it feel a little like we're living in some absurdist Fellini film?

oh i would love to do some writing with another creative, i haven't had alot of luck in the past when it comes to collaborative stuff.

I like a good mix of absurdist comedy, whimsical fantasy, existential horror, and gay warm & cozy

It's funny, sometimes it still works but now it's an absurdist joke instead if a reference

family guy at least tends have some sort of absurdist joke as the base for their references, I'm talking like when someone says like "This is getting uglier than Shonona Shelly after an all you can eat breakfast in Vegas"

This would be an absurdist betrayal of basically everyone, but I would assume that this is also completely fake?

I’ve decided not to spend what little time I have on this planet pouring over everything I see to determine if it’s real or not. It is an absurdist joke for a few hundred people staring into the abyss. Laugh or move on. I don’t care.

No joke, discovering the idea of "Nothing Matters! (Positive)" via an introduction to Absurdist philosophy legitimately stopped me from killing myself when I was at my lowest point at university

Waiting for Godínez: A Tragicomedy in Two Acts
by Daniel A. Olivas
Waiting for Godínez humanizes the plight undocumented people face in a country that both needs and disdains them. Through a darkly comic absurdist lens, it implores us to reconsider this country’s policies.
Waiting for Godínez
By the author of Chicano Frankenstein, this is "Waiting for Godot" in a modern retelling with Borderlands immigration and ICE in the mix. Waiting for Godíne...

So, let me get this straight. You people use social media to stay connected, share pictures and videos with friends and family, keep in touch across the miles and NOT to stir up trouble with absurdist humor and inflammatory, profanity-ridden madness?

You people are weird.

Seriously, get some help.

I gotta admit Chat GPT gave me a great idea. It thinks I should turn my work stories into an absurdist comedy. I mean my boss did a hobbling chase of a guy who also had a bad hip... A cashier sued Winn-Dixie claiming a slap on shoulder disabled him. He returned to claim a cashier rammed him.

I read a book more than 50 years ago that was the wildest story I'd ever heard of, and one of the head-tilt critiques of it was that as the planet spun out of control, the story featured live televised executions.

"Absurdist," they called it.

And here we are.

I was talking to a friend about how weird South Park has become. How it's gotta be hard to do absurdist parodies of reality when current reality is parodying itself.

I think of the line from Variety that was like "ere, as embodied by Strong, he's reached final form, emotionally constipated to an absurdist degree. There may be some truth to that; dramatically, however, he's a dead end." Accurate, but not good for viewers. Reality is stranger than fiction
