Political assistants are really cool. Your work is really important and you're real busy so I won't take much ofyour really valuable time. Not like some people, eh? Did I tell you all ofus think you're really nifty? Shucks. You might not know this but not all doctors are perfect. Some have faults. No, really. Not all ofus know everything. But we're really nice guys. And women, ofCOUIse. Women make really nice doctors. Some ofmy best friends are women doctors. Itls this little bit ofunpleasantness. People who want you to believe that we're hurting their friends. Well, we wouldn't hmt anyone. Take it from me. I'm a doctor. You see, doctors are essentially very nice people. Almost as nice as political assistants. We're professionals. Did you know we take an oath? We'd never hurt anyone. So, ifsomeone says people are being hurt by doctors, take it from me, they're not. I should know. rm a doctor. It's those hysterical people who say they're disabled by environmental sensitivities. It's not that these people don't have real problems. They do. They're mental. You can tell by the way they get all worked up when you tell them so. They become SO unreasonable! Something about "Where the sun don't shine"? And when we advise their families and friends, their bosses and teachers, for some reason they get even more unreasonable. It's because we threaten their delusions. As doctors, we know. We canJj: have people indulging in fantasies of experiencing disabling reactions. It's not that we don't care. Everyone deserves our kindly assistance. And these people really need help. For instance, they need tranquilizers to take care oftheir silly fears about pollution. We'd love to take care ofthem. If only they weren't so deluded! Maybe then they wouldn't be so hostile towards us. Towards us! Anyways, just so you know. If their whining was bugging you, relax. No problem. We'd never hurt anyone. Anywhere. Ever. Never have.
