Alt text: A photo shows President Donald Trump speaking into a microphone while wearing a blue suit and light blue tie. His left hand is raised as he speaks. Large text over the image quotes him: "You have to respect the president. If you don't respect the president, you're going to have a problem." His name appears beneath the quote. ⚠️ Bible warning: ⚠️ Bible Warning: Christians are called to honor governing authorities (Romans 13:1–7; 1 Peter 2:17), but our highest allegiance belongs to Jesus Christ alone (Acts 5:29). No earthly ruler deserves the worship, trust, or devotion that belongs only to God (Exodus 20:3; Psalm 146:3). Test every teaching and every leader by God's Word (Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1). Only Jesus saves. Alt text: A screenshot of a Yahoo News page displays a BuzzFeed article. The headline reads: "Donald Trump Is Going Viral For Demanding People To Respect The President." The article is by Michaela Bramwell and is dated Saturday, June 27, 2026. The opening text says that Donald Trump has said many controversial things and that his recent message about "respect" may be among the most unbelievable. Yahoo News and BuzzFeed branding are visible at the top. ⚠️ Bible warning: ⚠️ Bible Warning: Scripture teaches Christians to honor governing authorities (Romans 13:1–7; 1 Peter 2:17), but our highest allegiance belongs to Jesus Christ alone. When human authority conflicts with God's will, believers must obey God rather than men (Acts 5:29). Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world" (John 18:36), and Scripture warns against giving any earthly ruler the devotion that belongs only to God (Exodus 20:3; Psalm 146:3). Test every leader and every teaching by God's Word (Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1). Only Jesus saves. Alt text: A screenshot of an AL.com politics article is displayed. The headline reads: "Trump reportedly wants to bring back firing squad, guillotine, mass executions." The article is dated February 15, 2023. Below the headline is a photo of Donald Trump speaking at a podium with microphones, wearing a dark blue suit and a red tie, with American flags in the background. ⚠️ Bible warning: ⚠️ Bible Warning: Jesus taught His followers to be faithful to Him even in the face of persecution (Matthew 10:28; John 16:33). Revelation 20:4 speaks of those who were beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and who refused to worship the beast or receive its mark. Christians hold different views on how this prophecy will be fulfilled, but all believers are called to remain faithful to Christ, whatever the cost (Revelation 2:10; Acts 5:29). Our hope is not in earthly rulers, but in Jesus Christ alone. Only Jesus saves.
