Is Mento, designed as a roofing material, used often as a WRB on exterior walls? Do you have a concern with things like Adhero as WRB in fire areas?

It's definitely not easy if the underlying structure isn't tight. You *can* take off the siding and Adhero the sheathing, but that's not exactly a weekend DIY project.

in the US, almost exclusively. in the EU - it varies.
there may also (should imo) be some sort of protection membrane a la pro clima's adhero visto.
having seen some of the water damage in PNW projects - it's an issue that needs more care

from a circularity standpoint, i'm not a huge fan of adhero. i've never used it but it looks like no class A rating. i have seen mento used on a wall, it's red-list free also. pro clima also has a class B wrap for open-joint rainscreens.
