Okay so my top has definitely changed. Goodbye Lara is now almost bottom tier after that ending tbh. And now AdaShima is replaced with Shuukura. I don't have a concrete list but just know Shuukura is just that good that it's topped AdaShima.
Hello I'm making a list on here of my favorite Yuri.

My type of Yuri is romance, slice of lifey stuff. So if you like that then this list is for you.

Also the first four will be my personal top favorites. But after that it's still ones I think are great.

HatsuKiss is basically as concerned with connections and awkward social interactions as AdaShima.

Despite the physical intimacy, all three women struggle to connect with each other, which fuels the central tragedy. None are able to bridge that gap, despite mounting desperation.

patient needs adashima to live

Iruma's recent work has been like "while you were reading AdaShima I was busy studying The Blade"

"Yuri that only got one season" is a whole genre at this point. MagiRevo, YagaKimi, Aoi Hana, AdaShima, Virgin Road, Koisuru Asteroid, Sakura Trick... Jeeze, it's pretty dire when that's just off the top of my head. orz

Shuukura and Adashima (manga) are both getting new volumes a week apart 🫠 I'm gonna be busy

adashima moment

That being said, it does sometimes feel like cheating since the AdaShima books are so short. But I counted Scarlet and Ivy, which were about the same length, so whatever.

Over the course of this challenge I've found that I prefer Middle Grade and Young Adult novels. Adult books are just too... idk

i really don't like the way a lot of yuriota talk about people who are not making the jump from MHA or G-Witch or Gridman or Hoyoverse pairings to Bloom Into You or Adashima or whatever -- I don't actually think the 'problem' is that they're failing ball knowledge checks

Calling our final two alliance “AdaShima” and not explaining it to production >>>>

Yeah definitely lol. There's also just nothing resembling AdaShima aside from the brief Yashiro appearance.

The extra characters of AdaShima are weird as hell

I'm deleting Adashima off my hard drive I cannot trust you people for shit anymore

AdaShima often slots into “popular girl x loser girl” type dynamics and senyagi definitely hit that

But the other reason they’re AdaShima is more metatextual: the Shuukura novels just. Read very similarly to AdaShima novels in a lot of ways LOL
