The adage there are more lakes and waterways than mts in the ADK is real… and I am able to get to really remote areas!!

I live in Syracuse- I work in lake placid a lot over the winters- I bring my snowshoes and crampons ! I’ve done all 46 in all seasons .
I only get to hike July-August in ADK because of Bugs (hate black flies) & work…
I Kayak more often than hike mts- I can get further away from the masses!!!
