The historic, pedestrian-only Ponte Sant'Angelo (Aelian Bridge) spanning across the waters of the Tiber River in Rome, Italy. The bridge is constructed with ancient Roman stone and faced in light-toned travertine marble, featuring five majestic, repeating arches (two of which partially shown here) that elevate the structure above the river. Lining both sides of the bridge's balustrade is a grand procession of larger-than-life white marble angel sculptures, dramatically posed and holding various instruments of the Passion. In the background surrounding buildings interspersed with trees are prominently displayed against a sky with a few wispy clouds.
