This vintage airline decal features a bold red oval background with a thin black outer border. Centered across the top in large white block letters is the word “WESTERN,” with “AIRLINES” in slightly smaller white block letters below. Between the two words runs a stylized horizontal black stripe composed of several parallel lines, extending across the width of the decal. At the right end of the stripe is the airline’s historic emblem: a profile of a Native American head in black and white with a feathered headdress, rendered in a streamlined, graphic style typical of mid-20th-century commercial design. The strong contrast of red, white, and black gives the piece a striking, easily recognizable appearance consistent with 1940s airline branding.
