Bizarre to discover via a random Facebook ad that Tia Carrere is with some computer nerd doing unboxings of replica retro computing gear now. Her Wikipedia page says nothing about a current relationship but they call each other “honey” in the video. 14 year old me would be so confused by all this.

Een email in Gmail: "Beste redactie, Ik wil een idee pitchen voor jullie weekendbijlage dat naar mijn mening aansluit bij de huidige tijdgeest en relevant zou zijn voor jullie lezers.  Het valt mij op dat in mijn Randstedelijke bubbel van hoogopgeleide midden-30'ers en begin 40'ers het steeds vaker gaat over namja salang ssaum mun-eo ajeossi (남자 사랑 싸움 문어 아저씨), een Koreaans seksritueel waarbij een volwassen man in een bad gaat zitten met een volgroeide octopus en zich een weg uit het water moet vechten. Voor mijn verhaal zou ik enkele Koreaanse octopus-trainers interviewen ene-ven-tu-eel zou ik misschien zelf ook het ritueel ondergaan? (Nou ok vooruit dan omdat jullie aandringen: ik doe het, haha! 😜)   Hebben jullie interesse in een dergelijke longread van rond de 2000 woorden?
