omfg I just realized that the public instance of Akabot is having issues running and after checking the database, I see why
Within 6 hours, there were:
- 90k+ messages
- 81M+ DB queries
- 161 updates
I'm assuming the bot is getting spammed and I'll have to fix it so it doesn't get affected by this

the plan is to convert only a handful of features at start, then convert the rest and transition from Akabot to Nekona, shutting down Akabot and continuing with a lightweight, more performant bot

considering rewriting Akabot for a while now
or continuing from an older version and fixing it because MongoDB is apparently non-free

I wanna make a new Discord bot (Akabot will likely be abandoned as I'm going for a full rewrite) but I suck at creating names, so your suggestions please? :neocat_floof_pleading:

I would love this to get boosted for more invites of the bot and for more feedback. Feel free to respond in my Forgejo instance! :boost_ok:

probably should change the profile/project picture of @akabot@floss.social to something that isn't AI generated
a decision made by me over a year ago and I never changed it
although what should I change it to? I don't know what I would change it to (nothing AI generated)
