Blountsville, AL (BuzzReport) – In a political landscape often dominated by tradition, Alexandria Braswell is making waves in Alabama's District 11. The Democratic candidate has officially secured the nomination, marking a historic moment as the first woman from the party to ever run for the seat and the first Democrat to seek the position in 15 years. Braswell's announcement comes as the Republican Party has solidified Heath Allbright as their nominee, setting the stage for a contested general election on August 26, 2025 – a rarity for District 11, which hasn't seen a challenged race since 2012.
