Greek Aljamiado was a common phenomenon among Byzantine-rite Christians in Arabic-speaking communities, but has been little studied.

Now the time has come and my book will be released by Brill! This is the first study of a unique Muslim polemic against Christians and Jews that takes recourse to natural philosophy. Written in Arabic (with Aljamiado, too 😉) by a Mudejar, a Muslim living under Christian rule.

Yes! That's referred to as aljamiado, usually. I'm tagging in some experts. @aljamiadonnie.bsky.social, @davidwacks.bsky.social, and @homophonous.bsky.social can get you where you'd want to go, I think!

I'm particularly proud of my medieval / Golden Age Iberian lit. course. They tackled some complex literary analysis and even learned to read some Aljamiado in Arabic script!
