UNIVERSAL CHURCH, Editorial • The College of Cardinals is gathered in Rome and is already participating in the General Congregations in preparation for the conclave. It would like to invite the people of God to live this ecclesial event as an event of grace and spiritual discernment, listening to the will of God. — Social networks are full of speculation, predictions, and candidates, names are rising and falling in digital and traditional betting offices, and almost all media outlets worth their salt are saying: “Whoever enters the conclave as pope will emerge as cardinal,” only to then present their own […] The post An event of grace and spiritual discernment appeared first on Schoenstatt.org.

GERMANY, Maria Fischer • The Mortal Agony of Christ Chapel at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site is made of stone and iron. The two roughly carved wooden candle holders on the altar therefore immediately caught the eye. They don’t fit in here stylistically… And yet there could hardly have been a more fitting symbol on this April 26, the day of Pope Francis’ funeral, when the Polish-German memorial service marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp was held at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. The candle holders were brought by the preacher, Bishop […] The post The candle holders from the Dachau concentration camp appeared first on Schoenstatt.org.

ARGENTINA, Gabriela Sarquis / Maria Fischer • “The children at Casa del Niño bid farewell to their cook, even though she didn’t actually cook for them… because my mother retired more than 10 years ago. They must have told them the story of the first cook at Casa del Niño. And they gave her a round of applause. A wonderful gesture. Very moving…” This is how Doña Rosita’s daughter describes what she experienced on the day of her mother’s funeral. — Mercedes Verón, long-time director of the Casa del Niño, knows Doña Rosita Romero as one of the co-founders of […] The post The children at Casa del Niño bid farewell to their cook appeared first on Schoenstatt.org.

EDITORIAL • “Did you celebrate the month of the shrine?” asked a journalist friend when he glanced at the publications on schoenstatt.org this month. Indeed, it was a month marked by anniversaries (La Plata, Marienberg) and consecrations (Resistencia) of shrines, but also by many real stories about the missionary, solidarity, and social commitment of Schoenstatters worldwide. What will September bring us? — Universal Church: Holy Year, Season of Creation, Canonizations The month of September of the Holy Year is marked by the “Season of Creation” and Pope Francis’ prayer intention “for our relationship with all of creation,” as well as […] The post An eventful September appeared first on Schoenstatt.org.

The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, September 2025 • Let us pray that, inspired by Saint Francis, we might experience our interdependence with all creatures who are loved by God and worthy of love and respect. — Lord, You love everything You have created, and nothing exists outside the mystery of Your tenderness. Every creature, no matter how small, is the fruit of Your love and has a place in this world. Even the simplest or shortest life is surrounded by Your care. Like St. Francis of Assisi, today we too want to say: “Praised be You, my Lord!” Through the […] The post Pope Leo’s Prayer Intention: For our relationship with all of creation appeared first on Schoenstatt.org.

ARGENTINA, María Fischer • “You are now part of AMTENA, María,” Juan Barbosa just told me. It all began in November last year, with an interview that Juan, a long-time contributor to schoenstatt.org, did with Dr. Alejandro Nolazco. It was an inspiring encounter that, a few months later, led me to the Chaco region of Salta to accompany a clinical operation by Amtena, without knowing (almost) anything about medicine and without knowing about the poverty and human suffering of the indigenous peoples in Santa Victoria Este, and how the volunteer doctors of Amtena, the children, parents, and elderly Wichí, Toba, […] The post With Amtena in the Chaco region of Salta: a ray of hope in Misión San Luis appeared first on Schoenstatt.org.

ARGENTINA, Juan Barbosa • During the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Rosary Campaign in Córdoba, a young woman named Soledad came up to me and said: “You know, I had brought a 10,000 peso bill (about US$10) for lunch, but now I don’t have it anymore. I lost it… Could you please announce that it belongs to me if anyone finds it?” — Of course, I took the microphone again and, with Soledad at my side, described the situation. About an hour later, I was sitting on a small fence watching the program when a woman approached me from […] The post She is the most generous person appeared first on Schoenstatt.org.

ARGENTINA, Juan Barbosa • On August 15, the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Rosary Campaign celebrated its 40th anniversary in Córdoba, and the joy was and continues to be immense! The Shrine was “too big” to accommodate the first brave souls, whose numbers have now increased a hundredfold, and today the Pilgrim Mother visits countless homes throughout the province. PARAGUAY, Sixta Rosanna Chaparro Cuéllar • On August 16, Paraguay celebrates “Children’s Day” in memory of the Battle of Acosta Ñu, or the Battle of the Children, during the War of the Triple Alliance in 1869. The “Misioneritos,” the little missionaries of the Schoenstatt Pilgrim Mother Campaign, boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 12, wanted to spend this day with their peers from the neighborhoods of San Francisco, San Antonio, and Virgen de Fátima in the square “Ingenieros Alba y Elvio Valiente” in the city of Concepción in Paraguay. — More than 150 children gathered around the […] The post “Let the children come to me” appeared first on Schoenstatt.org.

ARGENTINA, Lilita and Carlos Ricciardi • The celebrations and festivities in and around La Plata continue unabated. These are very intense days filled with many experiences and emotions. We had a visit from the Chalice of Promise a few days before the Feast of the Assumption and the 60th anniversary of our shrine, which we reported on in the article “Big celebration.” On Sunday, August 17, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the wayside shrine in City Bell and the blessing of the expansion work. — Although the 50th anniversary was actually on August 15, we took part in the celebrations […] The post Fifty years of fruitful apostolic work at the wayside shrine in City Bell appeared first on Schoenstatt.org.

ARGENTINA, Guillermo Ferreyra • A new Shrine was blessed in the city of Resistencia, capital of the province of Chaco, in northern Argentina. The organizers of the event had the beautiful idea of dividing the celebration into a triduum, since there was so much love and gratitude for the Blessed Mother that a single event was not enough to express it. It was three days filled with grace, which overflowed the hearts of both the locals and those of us who made the pilgrimage there. — The event was attended by the governor, who declared it to be of “provincial […] The post A new, long-awaited Shrine emerges in Chaco appeared first on Schoenstatt.org.

VATICAN, Fr. Juan Molina • On the morning of August 6, photos and a video went viral among Schoenstatt members in Argentina and beyond. Fathers Francisco Bosch and Juan Molina accompanied about fifty young people, all between the ages of 16 and 22. Fr. Juan Molina had a great desire for an encounter with Pope Leo for the young people, and it became possible in the reception of groups at the end of the general audience. — Fr. Juan Molina shares with us what he has just written for the national website of Schoenstatt Argentina .
