Remember My Pet Monster (1986)?

This blue-furred brute from AmToy was the envy of every horror-loving kid in the late '80s. With those iconic breakaway orange cuffs and monstrous grin, he stomped all over boring teddy bears—and maybe a few childhood nightmares too!

They were designed by "Those Characters From Cleveland" [James Groman, Ralph Shafer, George Chanter, Mark Spangler, Jim Elliott, Kim Hammeren, Vint Gonser, Clark Wiley, And Tom Jacobs], the creative team for AmToy. This rubber Mexican bootleg is molded from the officially licensed 1986 ARCO [A. Rosenberg Company] rubber MadBalls Water Squirter and is hollow too, but does not function as such. [I tried! =) ]. Hmm... For some reason, as I was taking photographs of him, he really reminded me of Nicolas Cage with this particular bootleg colour scheme... #screamingmeemie screaming meemie #nicolascage
