Let's finish off September with a bang! 💥 The #TyrianMetaltail may look similar to the #AmaziliaHummingbird, but this small green and metalic bronze bird is only found in the high #AndesMountains and prefer more humid climates. #birdsofperu #incatrail #hummingbird #birdsoftheworld #birds 🪶

#PeruvianBirds are stunning and this #AmaziliaHummingbird is no different! Did you know that Amazilia does not come from the Amazon River or the Amazon rainforest. It's actually from a fictional character, Amazili, from a novel by Jean-François Marmontel. #birding #birdsoftheworld #birds 🪶

My goal this year was to catch more birds in flight... I am not sure why I decided #hummingbirds were a good starting points, but here we are! The #AmaziliaHummingbird is uniquely colourful with a brown body and green head found in #LimaPeru. #birding
