Amazon SES announces email validation
Today, Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) announces email validation, a new capability that helps customers reduce bounce rates and protect sender reputation by validating email addresses before sending. Customers can validate individual addresses via API calls or enable automatic validation across all outbound emails. Email validation helps customers maintain list hygiene, reduce bounces and improve delivery by identifying invalid addresses that could damage sender reputation. The API provides detailed validation insights such as syntax checks and DNS records. With Auto Validation enabled, SES automatically reviews every outbound email address with out requiring any code changes. Auto-Validation can be configured at the account level or at the configuration set level using simple toggles in the AWS console, enabling seamless integration with existing workflows. Email validation is available in all AWS Regions where Amazon SES is available. To learn more, see the documentation on Email Validation in the https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/email-validation.html. 🆕 Amazon SES now offers IP observability for Dedicated IP Addresses - Managed, letting users view exact IPs in use and Microsoft SNDS metrics, enhancing transparency and sending reputation monitoring. Available in all SES regions.

#AWS #AmazonSimpleEmailService
Amazon SES adds IP observability for Dedicated IP addresses (managed)
Today, Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) added visibility into the IP addresses used by Dedicated IP Addresses - Managed (DIP-M) pools. Customers can now find out the exact addresses in use when sending emails through DIP-M pools to mailbox providers. Customers can also see Microsoft Smart Network Data Services (SNDS) metrics for these IP addresses, giving them more insight into their sending reputation with Microsoft mailbox providers. This gives customers more transparency into the IP activities in DIP-M pools. Previously, customers could configure DIP-M pools to perform automatic IP allocation and warm-up in response to changes in email sending volumes. This reduced the operational overhead of managing dedicated sending channels, but customers could not easily see which IP addresses were in use by DIP-M pools. This also made it difficult to find SNDS feedback, which customers use to improve their reputation. Now, customers can see the IPs in DIP-M pools through the console, CLI, or SES API. SES also automatically creates CloudWatch Metrics for SNDS information on each IP address, which customers can access through the CloudWatch console or APIs. This gives customers more tools to monitor their sending reputation. SES supports DIP-M IP observability in all AWS Regions where SES is available. For more information, see the documentation for information about DIP-M pools.

🆕 Amazon SES now simplifies SMTP email sending via Mail Manager with an automated guided setup, reducing configuration steps for developers to quickly set up production-ready SMTP endpoints and credentials for applications. Available in all SES regions.

#AWS #AmazonSimpleEmailService
Amazon SES simplifies sending emails over SMTP using Mail Manager
Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) now offers a simplified console experience for sending emails over SMTP using Mail Manager. Mail Manager is a capability within SES for managing email flow, but configuring its resources individually to set up SMTP sending requires multiple steps. The new guided setup creates and configures these resources automatically, so developers can get started in just a few clicks. The guided setup gives developers a working SMTP endpoint and downloadable credentials they can plug into any application or framework that supports SMTP. This is ideal for teams building applications that send email notifications, password resets, or transactional messages and need a fast path to a production-ready SMTP configuration. This experience is available in all AWS Regions where Amazon SES is available. To learn more, visit the Amazon SES console or refer to the documentation.

#AWS #AmazonSimpleEmailService
Amazon SES now offers inbox placement metrics and blocklist monitoring
Today, Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) launched a new set of deliverability features that help customers get more information about their outbound sending deliverability performance and reputation. Customers can now see the percentage of messages that are placed in recipient spam folders based on samples of industry data, as well as see when their domains and IPs are listed on public email sender block lists. This makes it easier for customers to optimize their sending content to maximize customer engagement.  Previously, customers could use SES' Virtual Deliverability Manager to visualize the full end-to-end journey of email deliverability metrics. This included delivery rates, bounce rates of various types, as well as complaint, open and click rates. Customers did not have visibility into how many emails were placed in the spam folder, making it difficult to estimate how many emails were actually seen by recipients. Now, based on representative data sampled from the industry, customers can see inbox placement rates by sending domain and campaign. Customers can also pro-actively test candidate email content to estimate inbox placement rates at top mailbox providers before sending to any of their target recipients. Finally, customers get peripheral awareness and passive monitoring of industry blocklist activity, helping to identify when a reputation change may affect their ability to send emails to mailbox providers. SES supports inbox placement rates and blocklist monitoring in all AWS commercial regions where SES is available.  For more information, see the documentation for the Virtual Deliverability Manager global deliverability.

🆕 Amazon SES now provides tenant-level deliverability insights in Virtual Deliverability Manager, letting email senders track metrics for each tenant, enhancing issue detection and correction without impacting others. Available worldwide.

#AWS #AmazonSimpleEmailService
Amazon SES now supports tenant-level deliverability insights
Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) now supports tenant-level deliverability insights in Virtual Deliverability Manager (VDM). Tenant management allows email senders to isolate email sending across customers, business units, or applications. Previously, VDM provided deliverability metrics at the account, ISP, sending identity, and configuration set levels. Now, customers who use tenants and have enabled VDM can also monitor the deliverability of each tenant. The VDM dashboard adds a Tenants view with per-tenant metrics (send volume, deliveries, bounces, complaints, opens, and clicks) and a detail page that breaks those metrics down by mailbox provider and by associated identities and configuration sets. Customers can also search and export a tenant's sent messages, or query tenant metrics programmatically using the BatchGetMetricData API operation's new TENANT_NAME dimension. This helps senders identify the tenant causing a deliverability issue and correct it without impact to their other tenants. Virtual Deliverability Manager is available in all AWS Regions where Amazon SES is available. To learn more, visit the Amazon SES console or refer to the Virtual Deliverability Manager dashboard documentation in the Amazon SES Developer Guide.

Amazon SES now supports S/MIME email signing
https://aws.amazon.com/ses/ now supports Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME) signing, giving you a way to help recipients verify your emails are authentic. An S/MIME signature lets recipients confirm that a message was sent by the holder of the From address and that its content was not altered in transit. Previously, senders who needed S/MIME had to sign each message themselves before submitting it to SES, adding complexity to their sending. With this feature, you store your signing certificate in https://aws.amazon.com/certificate-manager/ and enable S/MIME signing for your sender identity. SES then signs your messages automatically as you send, so you don't have to sign messages yourself beforehand. Recipients whose email clients don't support S/MIME can still read the message normally. This gives security-conscious senders a simple way to add digital signatures to their email while continuing to use their existing SES setup. This feature is available in all AWS Regions where Amazon SES is available. To learn more about S/MIME signing in Amazon SES, visit the https://console.aws.amazon.com/ses or refer to the https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/send-email-authentication-smime.html.

🆕 Amazon SES now lets you enable or disable open and click tracking directly in SendEmail/SendBulkEmail APIs, simplifying consent management for GDPR/CNIL and reducing configuration overhead. No extra cost. Available in all SES regions.

#AWS #AmazonSimpleEmailService
Amazon SES now supports open and click tracking override parameters
Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) now supports open and click tracking override parameters in the SendEmail and SendBulkEmail APIs. Senders can enable or disable open tracking and click tracking on an individual API call, rather than managing tracking preferences through separate configuration sets. Previously, controlling tracking behavior required maintaining a distinct configuration set for each combination of open- and click-tracking settings. With this new capability, you specify the tracking preference directly in the send request, reducing configuration overhead and simplifying how you honor recipient-level tracking consent. This is useful for senders that must respect per-recipient consent choices to meet data protection requirements such as GDPR and CNIL guidance. The tracking overrides apply per request and take precedence over the tracking behavior defined in the associated configuration set, giving you fine-grained control without changing your existing configuration set structure. There is no additional cost to use this feature. This capability is available in all AWS Regions where Amazon SES is available. To learn more, see the documentation on open and click tracking in the Amazon SES Developer Guide.

Amazon SES click tracking now supports custom URL paths for mobile app deep linking
Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) now makes it easier to support mobile deep linking with the new ses:custom-path HTML attribute. When you add this attribute to an <a> tag, SES carries your path segment through to the tracking URL, so mobile operating systems can match it to your app's Universal Links (iOS) or App Links (Android) configuration. This enables you to use mobile deep linking without disabling engagement tracking. This feature is available in all AWS Regions where Amazon SES is available. To use this feature, you need a custom redirect domain for click tracking with an Apple App Site Association (AASA) or Digital Asset Links verification file hosted on that domain. Amazon SES now helps identify automated open and click events in event notifications
Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) now helps you identify automated email interactions. Customers who publish Open or Click events through a configuration set event destination will now see an isBotEvent field with a value of Likely or Unlikely in event notifications. You can use this field as a signal to help you better understand how much of your engagement is driven by human recipients versus automated systems. This feature is available in all AWS Regions where Amazon SES is available. If you already publish Open or Click events to an event destination, the isBotEvent field is automatically included, no additional configuration is needed. Amazon SES introduces pricing plans
Today, Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) introduced pricing plans, making it easy to purchase and access SES capabilities without evaluating them individually. Amazon SES pricing plans include three hierarchical options: Essentials, Pro, and Enterprise. Each plan builds on the one before it, offering progressively more capability at a discount compared to à-la-carte pricing. Businesses depend on email reaching the inbox and getting read, but the capabilities needed to ensure this have traditionally been sold as individual add-ons that must be evaluated and purchased independently. With pricing plans, customers pick a plan and have access to the right capabilities at no additional cost. Essentials provides deliverability insights, Pro adds managed dedicated IPs, email validation, and global inbox placement visibility to proactively prevent problems, and Enterprise adds multi-region resilience, workload-level reputation isolation, and an annual deliverability assessment. Pricing plans are available in all AWS Regions where Amazon SES is available, except the Middle East (UAE) and Middle East (Bahrain) Regions. To get started, sign in to the Amazon SES console and navigate to the pricing plan section. To learn more, visit the Amazon SES Pricing page or the Amazon SES Developer Guide.

For example customers can now configure STARTTLS as an optional TLS configuration, enabling legacy systems that don't support STARTTLS to connect to Mail Manager. With Mutual TLS (mTLS) in Ingress Endpoint customers can now used certificate-based authentication for enhanced security. The Invoke Lambda function rule action allows direct invocation of AWS Lambda functions from rule sets, enabling custom email processing workflows and the Bounce rule action provides RFC-compliant SMTP responses to sending servers. These new enhancements are available today in all AWS Regions where Amazon SES Mail Manager is offered, except for the Middle East (UAE) and Middle East (Bahrain) regions. Amazon SES now offers attachments in sending APIs
Today, Amazon https://aws.amazon.com/ses/ (SES) launched support for adding attachments to emails when sending via SES simple sending v2 APIs. Customers can add attachments such as PDF documents to emails, or include images for rendering inline in email content without requiring image downloads. This makes it easier to send richer email content with the convenience of the SES sending APIs. Previously, customers could send email content such as text and HTML through SES simple sending APIs. Customers did not have to worry about creating the email data structure which is actually sent to mailbox providers. However, if customers wanted to attach documents or include inline images, they had to use more complex APIs requiring construction of the email document structure prior to sending. Now, customers can add attachments in any of the SES supported MIME types (such as PDF, Word, and GIF), without knowledge of how MIME messages are constructed. This decreases code complexity and reduces time to implement sending over SES. SES supports attachments in all https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/global-infrastructure/regional-product-services/ where SES is available. For more information, see the documentation for working with https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/attachments.html in SES.
