How much Canadian content does he think gets produced? That isn't proprietary to other networks in this country? It would be great if Gem could open up the CBC's vaults for some of its old shows that had brief runs and vanished forever, but this particular complaint is entirely out of touch.

Look at how the BBC has aired their old Top of the Pops (minus the ones with criminals and those who haven’t signed agreements) shows weekly vs how our iconic music shows (the Paramount shows + American Bandstand) are all locked up in vaults.
I know I sound like a broken record at times, but Paramount has SO MUCH music history in its archives from Soul Train and Solid Gold to Video Soul and 120 Minutes to Headbangers Ball and Rap City to TRL and 106 & Park, and it's maddening they're doing absolutely nothing with 95% of it.
