so Irma's whole thing is that her sire (who is dead) is a Ananke obsessed with the line between life and death so he kidnaps mortals and also kindreds and does organ transplants of recently embraced kindred into the organs of a human to see what happens (this usually kills them)

ryu looks the most like his ancient, ananke! lapis (9th shard) looks the most like ryu, then it starts to break down from there. rather than looking similar, ananke's shards all have similar temperaments, destinies, and manipulation of fate and/or time
