UPDATE. Seen Hubby after his angiogram. Doc says he was very lucky to be lying on his table. He needs a quadruple bypass. The Cardiothoracic Surgeon will see him tomorrow and schedule the surgery.

9. If you have a family history of other issues that they can screen for, get the screening: if you have a family history of heart disease see a cardiologist, of brain aneurysm consider having a magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA) scan, etc.

I am back for more fun. Angiogram on both legs today and bypass surgery on my right leg tomorrow at Rush Hospital. We need to get blood flowing to the feet STAT. Send me all of your good vibes, positive thoughts and prayers! I will take them all! I need this to be successful so I can get back at it!
welp, I got as far as the X-ray room vestibule, then an emergency case came in so I'm back in the waiting area again! It'll probably be another hour now. (Here for an invasive angiogram and possible stent.)

Weird news: Turns out I had a heart attack in May! And I’m fine! But the angiogram showed that was the first step on my current journey.

Well. what I figured was just gonna be a trip to the ER to see if my retina was okay has turned into an afternoon of bloodwork, a CT scan, and angiogram next angiogram!

My mother went for her angiogram this morning and they found a blockage and put in a stent and are discharging her this afternoon which is mind boggling.
Turns out the doctor who insisted, last minute, that surgery on her hand be delayed until after an angiogram was right.

My mother went for her angiogram this morning and they found a blockage and put in a stent and are discharging her this afternoon which is mind boggling.

Update: She may need to have an angiogram done tomorrow so they can get a better view of the kidney issue. The right kidney may have some stenosis, and the angiogram will allow them to see the exact %, including if a stent or ballooning is needed.

Jackie just back from the angiogram. They said that everything was normal and no damage was found. She still has to stay tonight to be monitored and will see the docs sometime tomorrow, then home. This is great news!
