A coronal hole will face Earth soon. It is a negative polarity CH, so the magnetic field may not "connect" as well with Earth as a positive polarity CH (remember the ANOP/SNAP acronyms). Still, we may see G1-G2 storming around Oct 18-19 with the arrival of the CIR.

Positive-polarity CH 83 and 84 are rotating onto the Earth-facing disk. This polarity should hopefully connect better with Earth given our proximity to the fall equinox (remember the SNAP or ANOP acronyms). We may see G1-G2 (Kp 5-6) conditions in 7-10 days. Follow for more updates!

R-M effects technically peak in April and October (roughly around the equinoxes).
