it's not necessarily stuck in a box forever, at least not if being inside of a skull attached to a body counts as "not stuck in a box". anthroform robots exist and will be able to run large models sooner or later.

It DOES kinda work since it turns the animals in the area of the spell, the animal sidekicks of the group into anthros. The dice does decide if the transformation is temporary, permament or if the aninals can shift between feral and anthroform at will.
