Prostitution bzw. Sexarbeit ist der einzige Bereich, in dem vermeintliche Feminist*innen Frauen (nicht Männern!!!) die Fähigkeit absprechen, selbst zu entscheiden, welchen Sex sie wie und warum haben und was sie tun. #AntiProstitution ist antifeministisch.

I continue to be amazed that, simply because she gets that trans women are women, people feel the need to hand it to Catharine MacKinnon, a person who has probably done more material harm to trans people (via her antiprostitution lawyering) over the decades than JK Rowling

I have grown to hate and despise eigen in ways I hate and despise very few people who are not antiporn / antiprostitution feminists.

Despite me often being very nasty about Yud I have a degree of respect towards him, even sympathy. As far as cult leaders go he's a solid bean and a true believer

In addition to systematically increasing immigration control, antiprostitution policies within states and cities played a pivotal role in redefining policing from a horizontal commu- nity model to a vertical top-down model and creating new means of criminal management, including widespread surveillance and preventive detention of arrestees. Within three years of the Mann Act's passage, the FBI increased its number of agents fivefold.

A problem with sex for profit that “nobody” talks about is that legalizing it makes it more complicated to identify or even investigate who is not a willing part of something so fraught. It's not worth it, especially since it does nothing for society, much unlike cooking, teaching, medical, janitorial, or construction work.

ROBIN REISIG: It was the rule: if you went to a restaurant or bar and you were just women, no men included, all these places didn't serve you. It was an antiprostitution measure. They didn't want prostitutes hanging out in bars. It certainly wasn't the law. I was covering an event where women, Susan included, were going to go from bar to bar that didn't serve unescorted women. It was a small group of women that was doing this. It wasn't as though we were overwhelming places, but it was fun. We sat outside at Café de la Paix, a restaurant on Central Park South, and ordered drinks, and they wouldn't serve us. We went to Gallaghers, where I'd had dinner with my father many times, and they wouldn't serve us. People felt they had drunk so much they should probably postpone Gallaghers. It's a theater district restaurant that had prime ribs and steak. Gallaghers was smart. They called the press. I remember one of the first East Side bars we walked in, and the bartender said, "Holy Mother Ireland. It's the women's liberation movement." ​
