As one who's been involved in antitorture activity for over 20 years, how have I not heard of this international organization/coalition? Shame on me.
We have always known that this work cannot be done in isolation but that we must act together. Eradicating torture requires a strong, connected, and resilient movement.

As one who's been involved in antitorture activity for over 20 years, how have I not heard of this international organization/coalition? Shame on me.
I met Glenn Carl in 2016 or '17 at an antitorture conference at Harvard Kennedy School. He was out of the CIA at that point.

During GWB, he was an important place for clear antitorture thought and info. I had no idea that he was a rightlwing jerk. I thought he was a principled gay conservative. Now, I feel like a fool.

As an antitorture activist, I had to put up with a defamation suit for 5 years. Not pleasant.

I support several specific platforms, not team colors.
