When @allenvooreef.bsky.social sent us Raiden under the mistletoe I couldn’t resist and draw our favorite bard boy Kevin with him 👀✨ #ocmistletoe #anywaymurder

SEVEN YEARS

Yeah you read that right 😱 Happy campaigniversary to #anywaymurder #raiden
An illustration of our D&D characters from the 'Anyway, Murder' campaign. Standing tallest is Ara the swamp elf ranger, holding his spear and with his plush toad strapped to his belt. In the middle is Raiden the human rogue, sat on a crate and gesturing as he tells a story. Sat on the floor is Annori, the tiefling druid, listening to Raidens story with a pink butterfly perched on her hand.

A highlight from our latest #anywaymurder D&D session:
Raiden: -makes a dumb joke-
Ara: 'Ugh, please don't.'
Raiden: 'hey give me a break I just almost died.'
Annori: 'You can't keep playing that card!'
Raiden: 'I can if it keeps happening!'
Annori: 'So stop almost dying!'
Raiden: 'I'D LOVE TO'

A little companion piece to the painting Annori from the other day: a reading Raiden!

An illustration of my D&D character Raiden, a human rogue with a billowy white shirt and brown hair half tied back. He's sitting in a chair leaning his head on one hand, reading a book.

Posting last year’s #AnywayMurder Christmas thing again! Happy holidays from our dysfunctional found family to yours ❤️
#dnd
A fake instagram post from @a_common_thief. The picture shows a small apartment where our D&D characters are all hanging out. Findire is decorating the Christmas tree, Annori is on the couch playing something on her Nintendo switch as Ara watches over her shoulder, Kevin is playing the guitar and Raiden is in the kitchen making food. The caption says ‘sometimes family can be a famous pop icon, an insufferable toad wetter, a chaos gremlin sprinkled with cinnamon, and a government representative I guess’. A comment underneath the post from @srlpsys reads ‘those look an awful lot like the Christmas decorations that were stolen from Mulligans the other day…’. A reply from @a_common_thief reads ‘can’t believe you’re throwing around accusations on chrysler day. Hurtful.’

I guess zippers are canon in the Praximarian Empire now.
Glad to be back making little comics about our #AnywayMurder D&D campaign
A three panel comic page. The first panel shows an elf sitting on a desk with her back facing the viewer. Annori the tiefling druid stands pensively. She says: 'Hmmm, how embarrassing would it be for Findire to be seen with Ara?' 'VERY' says Raiden the human rogue just off-screen. The second panel shows Annori and Ara the swamp-elf ranger turning around looking displeased. Ara says: 'You talk a big game for someone who's on friend parole.' The third panel just shows Raiden sitting on the floor, raising his hand defensively and using the other to gesture zipping his lips.

Lvl 5 and Raiden still has the hit points of a paper hat. You gotta draw the line somewhere! So happy to be playing D&D with the funniest people.

A four panel comic for a scene from my D&D game. The first panel is a tall establishing shot of a medieval city. The speech bubbles read: 'So... those two are definitely banging, right?' 'Ugh, stop.' 'Oh, come on!' The second panel shows the four party members walking through the city. Raiden, looking a little bruised, gestures dramatically and says: 'I just almost died, let me have this.' Annori waves her hand with an unimpressed expression and says 'You can't keep playing that card.' Third panel shows Raiden standing still but the group walking onwards. Raiden raises a finger in protest and says 'I can if it keeps happening!'. Annori shrugs and says: 'So stop almost dying!'. Final panel, the group has almost fully left the frame while Raiden stands in the distance with his arms spread wide, exclaiming: 'I'd LOVE to!'

Oh fuck yes. The oc | the playlist

A tarot card-like illustration of my DND character Raiden, a human rogue with a billowing white shirt and brown hair that's half tied back. He wields a golden rapier. A screenshot of part of Raidens playlist on Spotify. It's titled 'Pocket full of Gold' and contains, among many other songs, 'Pluto' by Sleeping at Last and 'Dancing After Death' by Matt Maeson.

FIT CHECK ✨ The #anywaymurder gang has been manifesting a fancy party to go to for years, and now it's finally happening...! And when you play D&D with artists, you get a stunning outfit reveal. Who would you invite for a dance? 👀

My D&D OC Raiden wearing his gala outfit. A black overcoat with golden embroidery, a dark blue half-cape, and white pants. His hair is tied back into a ponytail embellished with a golden ornament, and he wears black and gold eye make-up. The whole 'Anyway, Murder' D&D party lined up in their gala outfits. From left to right: Annori in a dark purple floor-length dress with a see-through cape, Ara in colorful ochre robes lined with tassels, Kevin in a pink and teal tunic with his signature big feathered hat, and Raiden in the outfit described in the previous image.

I'm sure they're only *borrowing* that mask from the cultists who tried to kill us.

First page of a short comic. First panel: Annori, Raiden and Ara enter a small living space. Annori says: 'Let's pack up a couple of quick things for my mom and dad. And I guess now that we're here...' Second panel, they spread out in the room, looking around. Annori continues: '... we should look around a bit, too.' Third panel, Raiden folds his hands together and raises his eyebrows. 'Permission to snoop?' he says. 'Yeah, go ahead,' says Annori from off-screen. Final panel, Annori is taking clothes out of the wardrobe. In the background Raiden is throwing around papers at the desk. Second comic page, first panel, Raidens foot on the floor boards makes a loud creeaaak sound. Second panel, Raiden is alerted and says: 'Oh!'. Third panel, Raiden kneels down, lifts up the rug and says in a sing-songy tone: 'My favorite song!' Fourth panel, Ara is preparing a large travel bag. In the background we see Annori looking at papers on the wall. Fifth panel, a close-up of those papers. They seem to be posters for theater performances. Final panel, she picks one up and studies it with a wistful expression. Final comic page, first panel. Annori looks over her shoulder when Raiden says: 'So... the good news is: I found something.' Second panel, Annori and Ara gather behind Raiden who is still kneeling on the ground, with a defeated expression. Raiden says: 'The bad news is...' Final panel, we see some papers beneath the floor boards, a stack of letters, and a dark face mask. Raiden continues: '... I found something.'

This throwaway joke did *not* go unpunished.
Anyway, did you know all #AnywayMurder session summaries are available to read for free? I'm more and more allowing myself to just write it like a novel lol
Text on a parchment texture, featuring a sketch of Ara the swamp-elf ranger. Text reads: Neither Raiden nor Ara have said a word since leaving the Radiant Gardens. As Raiden washes his face with a little more force than is needed, Ara asks him: ‘Why did you call me embarrassing?’ Confused, Raiden looks up from his towel. ‘What?’ ‘Earlier,’ urges Ara. ‘You told Falinel I was embarrassing to be around. Why?’ Raiden shrugs. ‘It was a joke.’ ‘Jokes are supposed to be funny.’ ‘It was funny to me.’ ‘If the joke is only funny to the person who told it, it’s not really a joke,’ states Ara. ‘That’s just an insult.’ Raiden gestures in exasperation. ‘Fine, whatever. What do you want me to do, apologize?’ ‘I want to know why you said it,’ insists Ara. ‘Look, I don’t know what to tell you man. I saw an opening, I went for it, it Text on a parchment texture, featuring a sketch of human rogue Raiden (looking annoyed). Text reads: was a reflex. It was all teed up, I just finished the punch line.’ Raiden haphazardly throws his shirt and pants over a chair. ‘Why are you making such a big deal out of this? Isn’t this the whole back-and-forth we’ve been having since we first met?’ Ara raises an eyebrow. ‘I do not insult people.’ Raiden lets out a sardonic laugh. ‘Right! Okay, man. Wow.’ He lets himself fall onto the bed. ‘Listen, I’ve had an absolute shitstain of an evening, could we do whatever this is some other time?’ ‘We’ve had the same evening,’ replies Ara. ‘Believe me, you and I most certainly did not have the same evening.’ ‘We did the exact same things.’ ‘Good night, Ara.’ Raiden turns his back towards the swamp elf. ‘I don’t sleep,’ Ara protests. ‘I didn’t say sleep well, I said good night. Now get off my back.’
