....burial is intriguing. From ca 400BC, Celtic groups expanded eastward across Europe, while Celtic mercenaries fought in conflicts throughout the Mediterranean. The helmet may have been taken as battlefield booty before becoming a burial gift for an Apulian warrior.

Shhh, the bull is sleeping. 🤫 🐂

This is a terracotta askos - an oil flask with a spout and a handle - a form which originated as a leather bag. When used for wine, the source was oxhide, hence the bull. 🏺 #ancientbluesky

Spaghetti all’assassina @TitoSchipa, Ostuni.

An “Apulian Asian Fusion” restaurant isn’t the obvious destination for spaghetti all’assassina.

So was this Ostuni’s first killer spaghetti or just another spaghetti killer?
